Note: Below is a generic message for Blue Brook Properties LLC Move Ins.
Congratulations on being approved for a rental at Blue Brook Properties LLC. Here are the next steps you need to follow to finalize your lease and move in:
1. A lease will be sent to your email for review and electronic signature. Please read it carefully and sign it electronically as soon as possible.
2. You need to obtain two separate certified bank checks or Money Orders, one set for the first month's rent and the other for the security deposit. Both checks should be made out to "Blue Brook Properties LLC".
3. You need to call the utility company for gas (where applicable) and electric (where applicable) and set up an account in your name. You also need to supply me with the account numbers so I can verify that you have transferred the utilities into your name.
4. We can meet on or before the official move-in date to exchange funds and give you keys. Please let me know what day & time works best for you.
5. Some properties with Blue Brook do require renters' insurance if this is one of them, you will notice the lease has the additional charge built in to the rent, if you would like to provide your own insurance please send a copy of it to me at Realtorjoem@gmail.com and I will update it in our system. NOTE: you must include the renters insurance amount in the 1st month rent check if you go through us.
Here are some helpful numbers for the utility companies that service different areas:
- Eversource Gas 800-989-0900 will service Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck, Shelton, Seymour
- Southern CT Gas 800-659-8299 will service West Haven
- United Illuminating Electric 800-722-5584 will service Ansonia, Derby, Shelton, West Haven
- Eversource Electric 800-286-2000 will service Beacon Falls, Naugatuck
